We worked through the measurements foldable and finished up class working on a worksheet to practice some measurements.

Extra Credit Opportunity

To prove to me you went on the blog today.  Tell me who the picture is of attached to this post.  Hint: Bill Nye The Science Guy.  When you get to class tomorrow write the answer on a slip of paper, fold it and give it to me at the beginning of the class.

Today's Class Thursday August 25, 2011

Today in class we began a metric measurements foldable and watched a video over lab safety with quite the catchy tune I think.  Here is the link to that video if you want to watch it again: Science Safety Rap Song

Reminder for tomorrow's class

If you haven't done so please turn in your AP Contract, Safety Contract, and Parent letter.  Those are due back no later than Friday.
Please bring glue sticks, scissors, and markers/colored pencils for tomorrow's class(Thursday).

Wednesday's Class

Today we took notes over the Science Safety Power Point.  We completed it and toured the classroom looking at the different safety equipment that is available.  If you were absent and want to see the notes that we completed today go to the power point link and find the Science Safety Power Point.

What we did in Tuesday's Class

We got started on the interactive spirals today in class.  Glueing in the table of contents and the left and right side instructions.  Tonight I need the class to finish the "All About Me" page of their spirals and finish designing the front cover.
Tomorrow we are going to cover lab safety. So be ready to discuss some safe lab practices you guys remember from 6th grade science.

Tuesday's Class Reminders

Please remember to bring your spirals Tuesday so we can get started in them.  We will also be looking a lab safety tomorrow as well.  

Remember to get your safety contracts signed and the parent letters signed and returned as soon as possible.

Please make sure you bring your spirals for Tuesday.  We will be starting our interactive notebooks in them.

Supplies needed for this year

There are some things that your child will need for my class to make the year go well.  Colored pencils, and a notebook for each 9 weeks will be necessary in the class.  Pens and pencils will useful as well.
