Today the students participated in the refraction lab. They were able to demonstrate how two different light sources travel through different mediums.

Today the students did the water magnifier activity. It was designed to show how water can magnify the smallest of things. It was also designed to show how light can interact with water to magnify things as well.

Today the students took the series and parallel exam. They have been graded and entered into the grade book.

Today the students finished up the energy flipbooks we atated on Friday.  We then took a quiz over the flipbook where the students were presented a picture and had to identify what kinds of energy were present in those pictures. 


In health the students took notes over the skeletal system and were told they would be having an exam over that system along with the muscular system on Wednesday.

Friday October 19,2012

Today the science students finished the "exploring Energy video notes" we started on Tuesday.  The last two days were spent in the science lab working on the CD Hovercraft Lab.  After the video we started looking at forms of energy and the students worked on a flipbook over the 5 different kinds in their science spirals.

Today in health we completed the muscular system notes and started the skeletal system notes,

Today and tomorrow we will be in the science lab doing a lab called cd hovercraft.

I was not here at the school today.  I assigned the students in my science classes a chapter overview of forces, energy and motion.  It was due at the end of the class period.  I assigned my health classes a chapter overview of the body systems.  It was also due at the end of the class period.

Today the students viewed a video over the forms and types of energy and wrote notes over the video along with information from the teacher.

Today the students drew some diagrams of the different ways that they moved the ball the previous day.  They were then to write about the forces that were used and how the forces acted during the activity.

Today the students and I went outside to do a lab exploring the many ways of force.  The students really enjoyed it and got a real life learning of force in everyday objects.

Today the students and I started our new 6 weeks.  I discussed what the objectives were for the 6 weeks.  They then worked on some key understanding of forces out of their workbooks.

Today was an early out for the students.  they took their math benchmark test for the entire day.

Science - We worked on vocabulary for our unit over forces. 
The studetns had to draw a picture and write the definition for each word in their science spiral.

We have an exam over mixtures and solutions Wednesday, the students will be recieving a review tomorrow during class.

Health- The students were given time to finish up their brain and neuron diagrams and parts definitions during class.
