We completed the science safety posters and presented them during class.

Math Friday August 29, 2014

Today the students completed a multiplication chart and inserted it into their math interactive notebooks.  They then began their multiplication homework.  The homework was worked on during class and if not finished will have to be finished over the weekend.

For the homework they have to write their multiplication math facts out starting with 1X1 to 12 X 12.  They have to do this twice.  This homework will be assigned every Monday for the foreseeable future and due on Tuesday.  I will always give them time to work on it during class.

Today the students and I went over place value and I told them a story for them to remember place value.  We also played a game to help reinforce the place value concept.  You can play the game to help yourself by clicking the link below.

MATH Wednesday August 27, 2014

Today we talked about expanded, standard and word form.

We practiced each of those forms using our whiteboards

The students were then given their textbooks for math.  I will have the online logins as soon as I receive those from the textbook distributors

We went over the lab safety rules in class today and watched the music video above.

Tuesday August 26, 2014

The students set up their science and math interactive notebooks today.

Tomorrow we will be issuing the textbooks and those will be staying in the room along with the science and math interactive notebooks.

There is an online textbook and I will get the log in information to everyone once that is given to me.
