Tuesday's Class

Today we fixed our boxes for the Phototropism project.  We worked on those the entire class period.  Most students finished and I told the ones that didn't they could come into tutoring and finish those if if needed.

Make sure your ENTIRE chart is filled out and tomorrow's IN will be to bring it up and show me.
 Plus if you write this message on it I will give you extra credit on this grade: " I looked at the Blog last night".
Write that statement at the top of the chart.

Monday's Class 9-12-11

Today we looked at and recorded notes over a handout about Leaf Structure and Function.  Students were informed that there would be a quiz over it tomorrow.

9-8-11 Class

Today we went through the plant exploration packet and drew the examples given on the power point.  The students then worked on finishing the coloring for the drawings and worked on the 11 questions over the plant exploration lab.  If they did not finish they were told to do it for home work.

Quiz Tomorrow

There will be an interactive notebook quiz tomorrow (Friday) in class.  Be prepared and most importantly please bring your science interactive notebook!!!

Make sure your table of contents is filled out correctly.  It will be essential to the grade you will recieve on the quiz.

Today's Class 9-7-11

Today we took and graded our microscope quizzes.  We also watched a video about Plant structure and growth.  We took notes over it and will be revisiting those particular notes later on in this unit over photosynthesis.

Grades Entered!

Grades have been entered into the grade book and should be visible.  If your grade is low and you need to come into tutoring my hours are everyday after school till 3:45pm and mornings by appointment.

Today's Class 9-6-11

Today we looked at the Microscope and the different parts of it.  Tomorrow there will be a quiz at the beginning of class.  You will have to label the parts of the microscope.  STUDY STUDY STUDY!!!

9-2-11 Class

Today we went did a lab where we had to find out how many drops of water would fit on one side of a penny.  The students then had to figure out the independent, dependent, and control variables of the experiment.

Just a reminder if you have not brought your shoe box please do so Tuesday.  DON'T FORGET!

Today we took notes over the Scientific Method.  The power point is uploaded to the school website.
