Today we completed a circuit lab.  Below you can see some pictures of the students working hard on it.

Tomorrow we will have a spiral quiz over warm-ups we have done and a notes quiz over the notes below.

How do electric circuits, conductors and insulators work?
Some go with the flow?
-Conductors- Allow electricity to easily pass through them
-Insulators-prevents the flow of electricity
-Examples of conductors and insulators-
                -Copper Wire=Conductor
                -Electric Gloves= insulator
                -Electrical tape= insulator
                -Lightning Rod=conductor
A path to charge?
An electric circuit is a complete pathway made of conductors through which electricity cab flow.

Devices in a circuit such as lamps, buzzers or appliances are called resistances or loads.

Which path to take?
Series Circuit- An electric current that has only one pathway to follow to and from the energy source.

Parallel Circuit-Contains two or more paths for electric charges to follow.

Home Circuits?
Your home electrical system is a small part of a larger system that includes your city, state and national region.

Many of the forms of energy that you see around your house begin as electricity.
